Temporary Exhibit October 8th 2009 to January 17th 2009
Robots + Us is a 6,000 square foot interactive exhibit that shows how biology and technology are connected. Enjoy over twenty hands-on activities that explore how artificial life can teach us more about ourselves.

Please Note
Robots + Us is expected to be a popular attraction for school groups and the public. Your group is unlikely to be alone in the exhibit. Please prepare your students by reminding them to walk, not run, and to take turns at each of the interactive stations.
Teacher resources available
If you would like more guidance for your students, there are additional resources, including three different student worksheets, available. Student worksheets can be found at www.manitobamuseum.ca, (Education Programs / English / Teachers), along with lots of great information to help you get the most from your visit. Please print enough copies for your group if you choose to use them. Please bring clipboards and pencils.
Fun with Jitterbugs:
In one area of the exhibit, students will be able to construct their own Jitterbug robot using some simple materials and their own creativity. The slightest variations in leg shape or body weight will make each Jitterbug dance differently from all the rest.
As we expect this to be a popular area, where teacher and parent supervision would be beneficial, please speak to exhibit staff at the Jitterbug station to determine the best time for your group to participate together.
Students can take their Jitterbug home for an additional $5, or recycle it for future visitors to use. Please decide in advance if your students will take their Jitterbugs home at the end of the activity and let the exhibit staff know what you want to do.
Thank you for planning your visit to The Manitoba Museum!
