Win a Nonsuch T-Shirt Signed by Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez

Ever since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez enjoyed a private catered dinner aboard the Nonsuch last fall, the ship has held a special place in the couple’s hearts. They both signed a black Nonsuch T-shirt, in the hopes that funds raised from auctioning the item would benefit the Museum’s Nonsuch Conservation Project. The 17th century replica ketch is in need of repairs to keep it accessible to future generations of Museum visitors.

Now is your chance to own this rare piece of Bieber/Gomez memorabilia, an extraordinary find for collectors, fans, and music buffs. Tickets for the raffle can be ordered here until 5 pm on Sunday, April 8th, 2012. Continue reading ‘Win a Nonsuch T-Shirt Signed by Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez’

40th Anniversary Celebrations

Thanks to everyone who attended our 40th Anniversary celebrations. Our first staff and volunteer reunion on November 12th was a great success, with former employees traveling from as far away as Hong Kong to be reunited with their “Museum family”. Over 200 people reconnected, enjoyed live music and great food. A good time was had by all!

We launched our newest publication, Manitoba Treasures, at our Community Celebration on November 17th. (Manitoba Treasures is available through the Museum Shop.) Over 100 people enjoyed gallery tours, met our curators, and “ate” the Nonsuch. Minister Jim Rondeau and Acting Deputy Mayor Paula Havixbeck spoke on behalf of the province and city, respectively.
