One hour guided tour of the Museum Galleries. Travel the province from north to south in the Museum's eight galleries and explore the history and environment of Manitoba from the arctic coast to the

  Planetarium
30-40 minute Planetarium presentation, with time allotted for
questions and discussion. Visitors to the Planetarium become intrepid astronomical explorers embarking on a voyage of discovery from yesterday to tomorrow...and beyond.
   
  Science Gallery
An entertaining hour in the Science Gallery. Visitors are encouraged
to explore science, technology and illusion. Nearly 100 exhibits encourage experimentation and discovery in an entertaining and
highly interactive environment.
   
  The Great Canadian Fur Trade Tour
Designed for groups, this behind-the-scenes tour takes visitors through 300 years of Canada's rich and colourful history. The voyage begins in the world-renowned Nonsuch Gallery where you board a full-size replica 17th century ship. The journey moves into the early and mid-19th century Manitoba in the Hudson's Bay Company Gallery, where you will explore the incredible lives of the people of the fur trade. The tour concludes with a talk by a Museum expert and a special look at the Hudson's Bay Company Museum Collection and Storage Facility.

impact this 300-year period had on Canada's development, and inspires
visitors to discover the fur trade in a unique and memorable setting.

, to offer a special tour through the new Parklands/Mixed Woods Gallery, followed by an exploration of the parklands/ mixed woods region right here in the city!

Join Sorenson as he takes
you through the Gallery, which showcases the diversity of southern Manitoba.


Then he will lead you into the Assiniboine Forest to discover the plant and animal life of this diverse region. Every visit is sure to turn up something new and interesting.
